27 June 2014
Heavy Slam fixed.
Scald fixed + TM added into server
Final Gambit working properly now.
Future Sight working properly now.
Rattata is now purple.

25th June 2014
Tri Attack should now work correctly..
Perish Song should now work correctly.

24 June 2014 part 2
PWO currently had a 6% chance of double damage on crits. Previous system was wrong and not accurate.


It now has the correct Stage Based crit formula from Pokemon, and move fixes to go with.
It also only does 1.5 times damage, not 2 times.

Stage Chance of critical hit
=0 1/16 (6.25%)
=1 1/8 (12.5%)
=2 1/2 (50%)
>=3 Always (100%)

Examples:

- If you used Slash, it would be 12.5% crit chance.
- If you used Focus energy on its own, a move will be 50% crit chance.
- If you used Focus energy with a higher crit move like Slash you will make it stage 3. (100%)
- If you use any other non increased moved, it will have stage 0 (6.25%)

When a move lands a critical hit, the attacker's negative stat stages will be ignored while the defender's positive stat stages will be ignored too.
Other stat modifiers, such as burn will not be ignored

The move Focus Energy will now increase Crit Chance by 2 stages.
Super Luck ability is now ingame.

Move Fixes:
Judgment is now set to be normal type. It was typeless before.
Low Kick should now work correctly

-Inner focus ability is now ingame. Pokemon with this ability can't be flinched.
-Flinch is now ingame.

Grass knot is now working properly.
Critical message fixed. It now says when you hit by a critical.
Gyro ball is now working properly.
Pain split is now working properly.

Recharge fixed so it doesnt mess up in next battle.
-Shell Smash move is now ingame. You can learn it also via playerdex.

18 June 2014
-Close Combat, Superpower and Coil are now working properly.
-Memento is now working properly.
-Dragon Rage is now working properly. It does 40 damage every time it hits.
-Night Shade is now working properly. Damage = users level.
-Sonic Boom is now working properly. Does 20 damage always.
-Seismic Toss is now working properly. Damage = users level.
-Hi Jump Kick is now working properly.
-Ice type Pokemon cannot be frozen anymore.
-Belly Drum is now working properly.
-Psywave is now working properly.
-If your Pokemon is paralyzed by a faster Pokemon the effect might occur that very turn.
-Damage calculation is now happening in the same turn. Eg; If you made opposing Pokemon to burn, incoming attack will deal halved damage that very turn.
-Stat changes will be now effective that very turn when you used stat modifying move. Eg; If you used Growl on opposing Pokemon, incoming attack will have its power reduced by one stage. It's calculating that very turn not next one like it was the case before.

Stat modify moves now have proper output text. Rose, sharply rose etc.
Abilities that are now ingame: Blaze, Battle Armour, Clear Body, Damp, Shell Armor, Torrent, Overgrow and shield dust.

- Sucker punch now works as intended

- Was errors in the stat stages code which caused stats to say incorrect stat changes, and also change incorrect stats... this is now fixed
By fixing this it has fixed many many moves too

- Fixed if you both faint in battle at the same time, it should no longer lock up :)

- Recharge no longer says it fails, and also work properly.. it can't be bypassed by using a stat changing move anymore.

- Dream eater now only works when opponent is asleep, and also recovers half the amount of damage you do as health.

- if fire type pokemon then.. dont let it burn

- if electric type pokemon then.. dont let it paralyze

- if poison type pokemon then.. dont let it poison

- if steel type pokemon.. dont it poison

- Other Peoples Pokemon now follow them correctly.
- Player movement has been smoothed out, and looks so much nicer.
- Staff's Icons now show in their names
- You can make any map have any music on it, easily editable in the MapSong.ini
- You can now use Alt+Enter to switch from window/fullscreen
- Various Bug fixes to not crash the client.
- There is now a /joyoff command in case you can not move because a USB-Device or Gamepad is stopping you from moving in game.
- Some more anti bot measures.
- PM Chat windows shouldn't merge anymore when you re-log.
- 4th generation crys volume now adjust to the your volume setting.
- You should be able to log-out/click message boxes when in battle and talking to a npc now.
- Smileys have been put back in, use =), =(, ='(, and =D
- Fixed Bug where you couldn't move after searching in the Pokedex.
- Register button link updated.
- "Volume" Setting works correctly
- Various map name fixes
- IVs now appear in trade when you mouse over the Pokemon, on both trade screens!
- IVs now show on mouse overs on your Pokemon.
- Players now Jump over ledges correctly.
- Fixed a bug where whilst loading volume would go to 100% then back down.
- Clefary is now spelt Clefairy in the client.
- If you log out whilst wearing a mask and log back in on any account, you will no longer log in wearing a mask.
- Trainer stats window has been reorganized.
- Long names in your Bag have tool tips when you mouse over them.
- Long messages in the chatbox in-game will no longer "cut off"
- Poketime is now HH:MM format, sometimes it went 1:0 instead of 1:00
- Fixed some reflection graphics problems
- You can no longer spam "RUN" in battle
- You can not switch out a Pokemon whilst the NPC hasn't thrown theirs out yet resulting in a bugged fight.
- When you're on your Bike it will play bike music!
- Syncing/Coming out of sync, should happen far less now when switching maps.
- Pokemon inside your PC/Pokebox now show IVs and are just like the normal mouse-overs.
- Members will have fancy stars next to their names.
- Saved local passwords in PWO are now encrypted.

Although i only have listed them just now, there are in fact another 30 or so updates that don't relate to you players.
These are for bug fixes, the way things work, making the game more updatable and easy to work with, and lots of things to help Staff out.

Through out the coming weeks, I will be working on the battle system and some other bugs. Hopefully no extra bugs came out of this update.

05 May 2014 v1.9B
- Black bar/No Bar bug should be now fixed.
- Problems with your encrypted saved passwords causing you to say "invalid password" should be now fixed.
- Pokemon now refresh after you release one.
- Pokemon now should update exp during battle.
- A couple of server issues fixed.
- When in battle, it should no longer sometimes show blank moves or Pokemon to switch too.

11 May 2014 v1.9A
- Map loading system somewhat improved.
- Out of Sync issue when finishing/exiting battles should be now minimal.
- Screen should no longer flicker/glitch when switching Pokemon.
- Gamepad/Controller support improved and some bugs fixed.
- You can now read what a NPC says after you beat them in battle, it wont disappear
- A few more bug fixes and a few more server fixes

I would like to note the biggest update for this version is quite awesome and impacts all you lovely players!
- Overworld Pokemon can now appear over the PWO world which you can battle!
This is a great feature for Events, Pokemon that only come out once every so often and all kinds of things!

If you ever see a Lonely Pokemon dancing about on your map, run up to and talk to it as if it were anything else!
If your the lucky first person to get to it, you will go into battle with it! These can be any Pokemon, at any level and can also be shiny!

The latest fixes were awesome, but we missed 1 thing, which is quite important.
You should now no longer randomly teleport about the maps.

16 May 2014 v1.93
- PWO now has support for Day/Night only wild pokemon. So you you will soon be able to catch Pokemon at different times!
- Multievolution Support is now in PWO!

- A happiness system based on the Handhelds is also now in PWO!
You will be able to gain 1 happiness from walking 256 steps, 1 for winning battles, 5 for leveling up and others!
Pokemon will not gain happiness if you are on the bike.
When you reach 255/255 happiness or 100%! Pokemon which evolve at 100% happiness will now evolve!
So if you have an Eevee and you have it at 100% happiness, you can evolve it to Espeon or Umbreon as well during night and day!

- You can face your Pokemon and talk to it to find out its happiness.
- You have to face NPCs now to talk to them, not just be next to them.
- I added Swimmers to the list of NPCs that can be made now!
- Fixed a few NPCs about PWO that would cause troubles to users, freeze them etc.
- Your custom animations for moves are now PNGs so you can add transparencys.
- Game controllers could not be used in battle for some reason, this is now fixed.
- Rain sound should no longer play when you have your sound turned off.
- The follow Pokemon option now hides other players follow Pokemon again.
- Reflections are now slightly adjusted to look cooler.
- Fixed a rare problem where map loading would just hang.
- Time of day effects/lighting is now alot better, instead of dark night and bright day. There are now 9 different lightings for the world.
- Fixed some lamp posts to light up.
- And more random bug fixes!

Hey Pokemon People!

Today marks a great day for PWO once again.
Version 1.94 is now out! You can download this from the downloads page.

Some of the updates are listed below.
- A bunch of updates for staff.
- Chat Links for Pokemons (Shift click your pokemon ingame to link them in chat! Great for selling them with out all that clutter)
- Battle music doesn't keep playing if you get the "it is too soon to battle" message.
- Star next to evolved pokemon in the pokedex..
- The battle sequence has been touched up a bit.
- Move buttons in battle have been changed.
- Sound for fainting pokemon!
- Cool sound and effect after running from battle
- Potions now work outside of battle
- Added dusk stones and their appropriate evolutions!
- After a script battle, messages will no longer appear whilst the battle screen is still up.
instead, they will queue and wait for battle screen to go away.
- Fixed a bug where the Pokedex would go blank/mess up on certain pokemon on certain times based on what you have seen/caught etc.
- Battle log no longer goes outside the log window.
- Can no longer run or attack when your selected pokemon has fainted
- When using potions in battle, an animation/sound will also play.
- When using healing moves, an animation/sound will also play.

- Burn now halfs normal damage done.
- Freeze status on pokemon now works in battle.
- You can now unfreeze opponent's pokemon by using a fire type move.
- Ice type pokemon can not be frozen.
- Paralyze now works correctly and causes pokemon to reduce their speed to 25%.
- Toxic and Poison fang now correctly cause bad poison! which gets stronger over turns. etc

- The following moves now increase stats correctly
- Bulk Up
- Coil-Attack
- Curse
- Work Up
- Growth
- Dragon Dance
- Shift Gear
- Hone Claws
- Shell Smash
- Cosmic Power
- Defend Order
- Stockpile
- Calm Mind

- The following moves now heal
- Recover
- Roost
- Milk Drink
- Morning Sun
- Heal Order
- Synthesis
- Slack Off
- Softboiled
- Moonlight

- Ancient power type moves now work correctly and have a chance to increase all base stats.
- Ancientpower
- Ominous Wind
- Silver Wind

- The following Pokemon now evolve via learning/having a certain move.
- Tangela
- Yanma
- Piloswine
- Bonsly
- Mime Jr.
- Lickitung
- Aipom

- A bunch of bug fixes also, and many many many more awesome updates to come in the future!

Nice update, incredible I´d say, Shane i know you barely made a come back but is it possible to add some animations to sprites when battling?? just a question and a possible suggestion for next update, thx again Shane great job

This is why I've always praised Shane as a DEV despite some people hating on him. Even as a lone wolf, he gets things done and surprises us with this, for example :D Great work bro!!

What a lot you got! Lots of bugs fixed, lots of stuff to make things easier for Staff going into the future, and as for the players... you have got a lot! Awesome way to make a comeback Shane, even if it took many of us by total surprise.
