Onix can be evolved any time by trading while holding Metal Coat.
But just to make sure: is T3 Koffing / T5 Weezing from Burnt Tower. is it still a thing?
Koffing can only evolve by level 35. But T5 Weezing there can be found there at lv.21-23.
Sorry if that question was already answered from recent hunting events, as you see my last hunting event was 2023.
Fair question, but wanted to note that Weezing is no longer T5. That map was updated sometime after the 2023 hunting event.
It's important to keep in mind that the Wiki, while a great source of information, is not 100% accurate. It should not be relied on for Tiers especially, and even the Pokemon levels have changed over the years so it can't be relied on for those either. And as far as I know, there is no official/reliable source of information of the Pokemon levels on every map. Lastly, Pokemon levels can also be influenced by the guild map boosts, making this even more murky.
Because of all that, it's my opinion that this rule should stand with no exceptions because there's no great way to validate it as far as I'm aware.
