Hey trainers! It's time to stock up on pokeballs and start catching tier 5's Tier 4's and Tier 3's to try and find the best IVs for your chance to win the rare prize egg, shiny Alomomola or shiny Trubbish.

November hunting event.jpg

Pokemon must have caught dates from 2nd December - 8th December.
OT must be the same as the player using it in event.
Only enter with one account.
Only need to enter one pokemon for each category.
Shiny pokemon are not allowed.
Any tier 3's, 4's and 5's from Kanto, Johto or Sevii can be used in the event.
Several Pokémon will not be allowed to be submitted due to pre-evolutions found on the same map and evolvable at lower tiers. (example Steelix tier 5 in Mt Silver also has Onix tier 1)
Pokemon that have multiple ways to catch them on the same map will be counted as lower tier (example Mantine can be found as tier 5 fishing and tier 4 by surfing in route 40)
Show entries to @Feathers.McGraw or @Sushikraver no later than 15th December.
Entries also need to be posted here using the pokemon summary, For example

index.php

1st place: best IVs of any tier 5 - Prize Prize egg, 30k tokens, 999 battle points and winners statue.
2nd place: best IVs of any tier 4 - Prize Shiny Alomomola, 24k tokens, 750 battle points.
3rd place: best IVs of any tier 3 - Prize Shiny Trubbish 18k tokens, 500 battle points.
The participation prize for those who don't get the top 3 places but enter tier 5 is 12k tokens.
The lowest IVs found of all qualifying entries will win 12k tokens ( excludes main prize winners )

Good luck to all.

I like this new format as it lessens the necessity to play 16+ hours a day and gives everyone a realistic chance with just a little luck.

I have a couple questions, though they kind of tie together:
  • Will free MS be given out for the duration of the event, similar to the previous hunting event?
  • If yes, I assume shiny submissions will count, as they also did in the previous hunting event?

The free MS was a one-time event, and there are no plans to repeat it this time around.

Actually, in the previous event, Shinies were exempted from the IV-related contests; they only counted towards the progressive point total. As that mechanic is not returning for this event, Shinies will NOT be permitted this time around. Feathers will update the first post shortly to include this.

In but not sure I understood correctly... if I got a poke that is tier 3 but in another area can be found at lower tier, it will be recognized as lower 2 for example?

The tier only matters on the particular map you're hunting on, which you can view by using the /list command. Whether or not the poke is lower or higher tier on another map is irrelevant.

However, if the poke is catchable by multiple different methods (surfing and fishing for example) on the same map, and the tiers are different, it will be counted as the lower of the two tiers on that particular map.

When players submit their catches in this thread, they must do so showing the Pokemon Summary view, so the Caught Map and Caught Date can be cross-checked and verified in-game by Feathers and/or Sushi. You can refer to the previous hunting event threads for examples of this.
