I feel that out of all of the MMORPG Pokemon games I've played throughout the years PWO is by far the best and the one with the most potential.
The thought that eventually I will be able to start in a region of my liking and travel through all of the regions and catch all of the pokemon in one game is something I am sure every player has dreamed about.
Though great it is I believe the game would be even MORE epic with a few epic/challenging additions.
NOTE: This is not meant to offend the hard working staff of PWO who do everything in their power to make the game more enjoyable for us. These are just suggestions from a fanboy who wants others to get as much out of the game as he imagines in his mind.....because he is crazy. ALSO most of this list may be things already being considered or put into play. But I would not know that, so I'm just gonna say my opinions/suggestions. They may seem like a lot. But to me its what the game could have to make the experience more epic!
1. Pokemon League for each region: Once you get all 16 badges all you really do is train at Mt. Silver until two weeks is up so that you can rebattle strong NPC's in gyms in order to gain some quick level ups and then it starts over again.... after a while it can ....how can I say.... lose its flair... especially when the wild pokemon give so little exp when you are in your 70's.
2. Mt. Silver and Cerulean Cave: I believe that the "low exp" thing would not matter if these two locations were made accessible. All of the strong pokemon that would be there, in their 70's, would make up for picking on Tangela all the time.... poor Tangelas....
3. Battling PkmnTrainer Red: Striving to be the ultimate is nothing unless you defeat the super powerful Red which if you thought he was something in the remake of Gold and Silver with his lvl 85 Pika, imagine what the staff at PWO would do to him. >:-(! All for our nerding out of course! :-D!
4. Battling all major trainers from the games: Along with Red, they could add the male and female characters from every game with their signature teams from either the game or the manga. It would be fun to battle Red and Leaf in Kanto and then battle Ethan (Gold) and Kris (Crystal) in Johto, etc. Also battling their rivals like Silver, Barry, Bianca, Cheren would be cool too. Anyone with a major roll, put them in and let me at em! >8-D!!
5. Team Rocket/Aqua/Magma/Galactic/Plasma: I feel that the game would feel incredibly exciting to play through if the evil criminal organizations were more incorporated. It would just give the game a larger feel of story because with a world this big (The world of PWO) team rocket could be up to something REALLY big and people would want to know what it is and how to stop it. Or it could be the same thing they were up to from the games in each generation/region.
7. The use of healing items during NPC battle or at least on the field map: Maybe this is the way it is because that game would only be too easier if people just bought a bigillian potions which is very possible with all the money we make from selling ONE shiny, but sometimes it gets annoying having to fight a line of strong trainers one by one and running back to the center and do it again because you cant heal. And if Elite Four is incorporated later you can get hit ONCE or its done. Or at least if we can heal outside of battle on the field map this issue would not matter.
8. Legendary encounters would be fun.... but I think I understand why they dont happen. I suppose it would be annoyong to encounter boobs that all have Arceus and USE him in battle at all times.
9. The ability to restart your game. This may sound odd, but I've met some people that would not mind restarting as long as they get to keep their name. Because like I said, being at Mt. Silver all day can get a bit boring. And sometimes people want to play their game differently. Or maybe changing in game/user name would rock and then being able to use that name again in a new game.
10. I heard TM's and being added. That is wise.
11. Finally, shortening the rebattle of NPC's from 2 weeks to 1: Becauses it takes so long to level up off of wild pokemon even with abusing Tangela and all, people often rely on rebattling the NPC's that are in the gyms of whatever region they visited second because they trainers there are epic strong. But once you rip through them in a few hours you are just waiting for 2 weeks to pass before battling them again... maybe there is a strategic reason why its 2 weeks, but its just a suggestion.
