A Basic pokemon value scale according to type imo without specifying actual pokemon.

subject to debate of course, so post your view.



This is a basic pokemon valuation without variable's such as lvl, stats & popularity.



Common -> Rare -> Very Rare -> Horribly Rare -> Shiny Common -> UN-catchable 4 Tokens -> Shiny Rare -> UN-catchable 5-7 Tokens -> UN-catchable 9 Tokens -> Shiny Very Rare -> UN-catchable 14 Tokens -> Shiny Horribly Rare

horribly rare is 1/1000 but shiny common is 1/2020 or 1/8080 depend on membership ( i think u have to swap them)

I've yet to see a S common sell for more than a HR of the same lvl ie S Butterfree < Snorlax

You may be right, i'll change the values based on more general consensus.

there are some Scommons that are better than horribly rares same with SVRs that are better than SHR. for example Smag is better than ditto and dragonite is better than Sratitat. Sscyther is better than Sforretress

i was talking about rarity in game

but for price a shiny common like hypno or ampharos worth 40m and above and u know that worth 5 hr like snorlax lol

commons shouldnt be worth no more than 30 million for one with an awesome stat (like ampharos)....and also SHRs are worth more than UC14s simply because of their rarity factor, not because of how strong they are

I did specify "without going into variable's" puar, but yes, you are correct, but I'm talking general values.

What about (S) Alakazam in this... Isn't he just a (S) Rare? But worth more than a 14UC etc.

rusty u should differentiate between 2 things :

- rarity

- strength



the price flow between the two parameters

I would also say Srares and S VR are worth more then 14 token UC

Uber 14 token UC's are worth more than shiny rares IMO.

^ just to expand on this, shiny rares arent actually that rare. i know, at one point i had 13 Rs, 4 VRs and a UC...shiny VRs and shiny HRs are worth more than 14 token UCs, except for maybe crappy ones like ditto. but rares should be worth about 3 good commons max...its just people thinking rare means special and so then jacking up the prices to frankly insane levels.



put it this way, nobody in their right mind is gonna pay 300+ million for a arcanine when they can just go catch their own one

I think this is how it works in PWO:

Kaiser, if you were going to do that you would have to do a value per pokemon, which I'm not going to do atm, if you want you can however.



I'm going with the current value, also what Staff + Pie is saying underlines the reasons for this.

Shinies are 1/8192 without member and 1/2048 with.

okay, a bit confused.. the title clearly said its about rarity, but ppl comparing these pokes based on its strength and value????



- if this is based on rarity, i don't think u can compare the catchable ones and UCs,, since for a very very rich person, even a 14 token UC can be very "common" to him.. <img src="http://www.pokemon-world-online.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/BulbasaurSilly.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt="" />



- if this is based on strength/their usefulness in battles, sometimes a normal HR could be much better than a VR.. i.e,, who do you think will be more usefull in battles, a lvl 99 houndoum or a lvl 99 murkrow? sometimes i feel shinnies are too overrated.. i mean yeah shinnies has all uber IVs, but what good is an uber (or even max) IV pokemon if they have sucky base stats? i choose an only ok IVs on good rares/vrs over a sucky commons anytime.! for a competitive battle that is..



- if this is based on values, well usually values depends on their rarity and strength/usefulness right? but don't forget we're all humans here, and what we humans do is we will give a lot more for something we really really want,,, and it also takes a lot more to make us give something we really really need.. maybe what arnie said is right that no one in their right mind will pay 300M just for a shiny arca, but maybe if that person really really wants it and he have 300M to give, that could happen. i mean he can spend weeks or even months to hunt for another thing...

but again.. if u have played this game for a very long time, and u have all the pokes you need and now all you want to do is just "collecting" pokes/shiny pokes, than all of my argument will mean nothing.. lol
