My account is gone

I have been away from the game for a while and my account is gone? I want to know if there is a way to recover it? I had alot of great pokemon on that account and I do not want to start over again. please help

if u havent logged in for 2 years the account gets auto-deleted, otherwise there are ways of regaining the account, i just dont know the ways . good luck

I know the email associated with the account and username I tried to do a password reset and it sent a email through which tells me that my account will still be active I think. however I do not have access to that email any more to get the link to reset password. This really sucks

You need access to the email on the account, that is the only security and cannot be by-passed.
