Yeah, I was too sleepy when I first wrote this post. I corrected this typo and added the recent updates, I will edit later to mention the older updates.

Lumi you son of a sweet kitten! Lol, genius and I love all the updates you've made. Man now I wish I'd waited a week to do the CC Quest. Still, I think it's an amazing improvement. It was a good gold sink at the time, but the quest really wasn't worth the money put into it. Even if it was to get a chance to fight a lvl 70 Mewtwo. -pronks off to play around Mt. Silver- Happy New Years Lumi!

What reason is there for it to be so expensive though? All it serves as is a time gate that puts most people off from playing.

Even when its cost was 200k it wasn't expensive, I think. I had no problems buying my wind-surfboard. It's an item too helpful, it's necessary to access many quests and maps, in addition to travel to other region, so we should pay a fair price... only throughts :p . But it's not too bad lowering the price, I always see the start players complaining about it.

One more time, good work Lumi, you're really dedicated to the game. :D
Thanks~

Good job Lumi! Boss updates! Love the price reductions, in everything!

Fact is the surfboard isn't really as useful as it once was. What with trains in existence. All it is is a time saver, much like the bike is an expensive time saver. Every place a person needs to get to, there's tunnels, trains, caves, warpers, boats, etc. You don't need it to get to any gym. Though you can use it to get around walking.

Surfing is only truly good for getting across the water quickly -and for free-. Hunting in the water quickly -no fishing pole required!- and..naturally. Getting from Johto to Kanto, but only for that first time. Who surfs back between the regions once they've got access to the train? Most ppl hate that little Falls area. No good Pokemon, no battle NPCs, just a cave.

Besides that, its a gold sink that only works on one portion of the populace. Newbies. The bikes are a sink for old rich ppl, the surf boards are sink for newbies. It's just an outdated form of a sink. What with most newbies automatically spending all their money on Pokeballs, escape ropes, potions. Stuff they don't know that they don't need (yet), because they're used to the handhelds.

Go to the hobby shop and ask how much a wind surf costs. You will be shocked :p
But seriously, 200k was good because it forced players to learn about the market and about money management. But oh well, that only means I can buy their awesome Pokes for a much lower price because they won't have experience in negotiation. Fine by me :p

200k was a good price for a time period where prices were inflated through the roof, and there was an Auction house for easier navigation.
I half agree with this price drop, but would also be okay with it being raised again in the future once the Auction house is back.

What if some players don't want to sell their Pokemon? Can't this be considered as forcing a certain play-style or something, especially when it comes to a necessary item like Wind Surfboard?

Also, updated the first post with a minor update~
