Haven't updated this in a while. It's not going as fast as I want it to due to real life things, but worry not.. I'm still working on it nonetheless ;)
What's new from the last update:
- Client side collision.
- Surf support.
- Bitmap font system. (partially done)
- Rendering user bar. (with some player info)
- Rendering follow pokemon. (does not walk yet)

I have mini idea: add in exp bar center percents of how much level rise. Example 88892/100000 exp = 88.892%. Players will like it.

That's exactly what I was afraid of :-\ So, how will the new client be finished then?

Due to numerous side-projects, we're unable to answer that as of this moment.

Apologies for the late updates, I have my ups and downs in life. Unfortunately it has been more down than up the past two months.
Here are some more updates:
- Animating follow pokemon. (Walking)
- Rendering NPCs.
- Implemented all pokemon names for rendering (Generation 1-4).
- Rendering team with their sprites, HP/Exp bars and name.

(Expresses sympathy for the situation and appreciation for the work, but still finds making a request along the lines of, "pics or it didn't happen" unavoidable)

As requested by Merse and our cute Gengar I've uploaded a screenshot:
screenshot1qe.png
This screenshot shows what I have currently, some things are not finished yet as you can see.
For anyone wondering why there's a green little man on the right instead of the usual NPC sprite, it's the only spriteset I have implemented for NPCs at the moment. (temporary)
Nothing new really, I'm focusing on the recreation of the current client. After that's finished we can focus on new features.
The new player sprites are made by Carel.
