Hello, who would be the best person to help me recover an account of mine?
Thank you.

Initially, the best person to help you is yourself, cause:

First, you'll need to see if your account still exist. You can do so by searching for your username on the PlayerDex.
Then, you'll need access to your email address (if you don't know which address you've used, you can use the Recover My Account section to get your answer). I don't believe anything can be done if you don't.
After that, you'll have to go to Recover My Account once again, fill in your details and ask for a Password Reset. If the mail doesn't appear in your Inbox, please be sure to check your Spam/Junk folder as well, since they sometimes might end up there.
Though mails shouldn't take that long to arrive, in some cases it can take up to an hour or so.
If you haven't gotten a message by then, add noreply@pokemon-world-online.com to your 'Safe senders and domains' list, and try again.
And in case you don't get a response the second time around either: go to the #Support channel in the Discord server and describe that you've done all the above, cause certain email providers might block the password reset mail because they've worded it weirdly.

Ask for an Email Reminder, and check all of your email addresses, I guess.

Unfortunately we can't just reveal people's email addresses for security reasons, especially as for many accounts this is the key piece of information we have to verify an account's owner. That said, although our websites typically hide people's email addresses for the reasons above, it is possible for players to choose to reveal them on their Playerdex profiles; and some older accounts may not have defaulted to not revealing them due to past flaws in our system. So you could try looking up the profile on the Playerdex to see if the email address is publicly visible. Failing that, Isguros is correct - the best way to find out which email address you used is to request an email reminder and then check all the emails you have access to for a new email from us.

Suggestion Box: Hide email addresses in Pdex profile by default.

Seems like I notified @Bluerise about this very issue back in 2022. I was of the belief this WAS the default setting now, so if it still isn't, I will definitely chase this up again.
Yeah email privacy still isn't the default for ~4 years or so fyi - reminding @Bluerise would be good.
As the bird sings and fish swims I'll also take the opportunity to spam this thread which has a number of good suggestions too.
And please excuse my slightly snarky meme reply earlier. Appreciate all that you do.

Bluerise informs me you're actually asked for your preference when you register.

I just looked up all the 12 newest accounts on Playerdex (with reference to forum's Members section).

All the profiles that are viewable have the email address also visible.
9 of 12 are viewable. 3 have made their profiles hidden so you can't see anything. So maybe it is asking them in general terms whether to hide their profile, but I doubt it's mentioning the email specifically.

The default if they choose visible should be: profile and pokemon visible, email hidden. No service ever reveals email addresses.

This is still a big problem and needs to be addressed (no pun intended har har).
