Several ways, many of which have already been mentioned, but I'll go through them all anyway:

• Hold Alt while you press Print Screen. This captures only the active window. Works for PWO, but not all programs.
• Windows 7 and Vista only, except Vista Home Basic: Use the snipping tool. This built-in feature of Windows 7 lets you take screenshots of different parts of the screen with one click.
• AlternativeTo.net has a whole list of downloadable programs - both free and shareware - which are similar to the Snipping Tool but may be available on more systems, even those that don't have a Snipping Tool built-in.
• Or just paste the full screenshot into Paint, select PWO with the Rectangle Select tool; and cut it out; then make a new image and paste it back in.
