and you don't have to reply angrily, it was a question. it was a question, i waited until the registrations were finally redone and fixed, then for and official day to register then another day to play and every time i manage to get time off, the servers down, so if you might guessed it, its a bit irritating to some people why its always down.

Who said he replied angrily? He answered your question. Doesnt mean it was with a attitude or anything. He was just stating that it happens to a lot of people not just you. Which is true. He in a way answered your question. Seeing as you had a question mark at the end, it is therefore a question.. >.>

The down time is most likely when the least amount of people are on which might be the only time you have open. You just have bad luck and there is no reason to be angry. The guy did not respond with hate or anger.

When the same questions asked multiple times a day and the answers are in plain view, it can get irritating on this end as well.

As a new player I don't see much room to complain. But, I will post my thoughts on the subject! I have beta tested a handful of games with 99% of them being "Big" games I.E Everquest, Everquest II, Asherons Call, WoW, Diablo, and that is just to name a few! The problem with this game, as I see it,... For one there needs to be a "Patch/Beta" server. This means that all projects are done on that server and then transferd to the open server with a given down time. Secondly, this game has been passed around like a bad habit with warts... it has been in Beta forever ( this gives the game a bad name)! Devs, take it from me... no new projects, work with what you got, fix it, then move on to new ones! The down servers all the time are useless if nothing is getting fixed, as can be seen with it happening every 1-2 hours or so! I waited for a long time for something like this to happen online but if you ever want Nintendo in on the project... take my advice and roll on! AND TRUST ME YOU WANT THEM IN!

As I've said in the IRC chat several times, but has been eaten by the flood of people continuing to ask the same question: People can't expect the game to be up 24/7. The Staff working on this game aren't making any money from it; there's no real money backing the project, except what the community donates. Those who complain that the servers are always down should just be happy that the game exists in the first place. These guys didn't and don't have to go out of their way to keep doing what they do. If they felt so inclined, they could shut this all down and use their free time for something other than trying to please the masses who seem to be unhappy all the time with the game being down.
Some of you have waited days, weeks and even months to play this. I say you should be calm and patient and just be happy for whatever little bit of time you have to play. I personally waited in and about 3 years to be able to play again after my original account was deleted. That's over 1,000 days for those who can't do quick math.
If the server is down and you are bored, there's a simple solution. Go play or do something else instead of complaining, no matter how much you want to play PWO. I'm not saying any of this in anger or frustration. Just simply informing about the situation with the game. It's in Beta for a reason and will remain in Beta until things like this are fixed. How long will that take? Who knows. The code is rough and not professional, but at least it's solid enough for the game to work when it is up. Just be patient and you'll get to play. ^.^

I don't know how it usually is since I just registered a few days ago, but so far I've been able to play about 15 minutes a day.
the bugs and errors, as annoying as they are I can live with. but the server being inaccessible for 90% of the time is a big game killer.
I know the developers make no money out of this game, but I think they should put the server functionality as a top priority.
this is the best, if not only pokemon online game, and it has a lot of potential. if I could at least log in, I would not mind paying for this game, or helping in any other way requested. but the basic requirements for an online game should be answered first before this game can take any step forward - and that is to be accessible and flowing.

The server has two main up-times, when there are more players than it can possibly handle trying to log in, and when everyone is asleep.
It's just that antisocial, it aims to disappoint.

There is a time, when everyone is asleep? I don't think so, I'd say there are players from every GMT, so there is a daytime at any moment somewhere...
