I tried doing some research on my own but I have found different answers. My question is what is the minimum requirements to be able to trade pokemon? I have a lot of tokens left and nothing I really want from the shop at the moment. I was planning to buy some pokemon from the token shop and then sell/trade them but I am pretty sure I don't meet the requirements to trade at this time so I don't want to waste time if I can't.

Trading requirements are 4 badges in Johto and 5 in Kanto.

You need to register either in Olivine City to get a trade pin or in Celadon City in Kanto. Union Rooms are upstairs in the Saffron and Goldenrod Pokemon Centers.

Symbiosis, you can't sell/trade tokens that are already in your account. Selling tokens is about donating for different account for money.
