Server down?

I am brand new to the game tonight and loving it but it appears I got kicked out and can't connect to the server now I was just wondering if there was maintenance going on or if the server went down or if it just goes down this time of night? Thanks any info would be great, I am really loving the game so far and the community. Thanks to all who have helped me learn how to get going with it tonight. Just want to rule out of this is something that is just an error on my end or what. thanks!
