Route Maps Refuse To Load

The second I enter a route, the map turns black. I seem to be great in all towns and buildings, but the second I enter a route, the screen turns black. I have tried re-loading and re-logging dozens upon dozen of time, along with the refresh command. So far, the only thing that gets my screen back is to loose in a battle to get sent back to a town, since town maps do load for me. This started two days ago, and for the month I played all before that...this problem never happened.





Any advice? Why is it only routes that do this to me?

Maybe just reinstall the client. If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas

There isn't really much advice to be given about this. Black screens and Green screens happen to many players in pwo, and it mainly happens because the server is lagging, and when the server lags, it takes forever to load map files, which in these cases it doesn't.



In a update not to far into the past, an update was put into affect so if you try walking around on a black/green screen map, the map will attempt to reload. You can continue to try and reload the map all you want, sometimes it will work, other times it won't. Sometimes relogging will also help even though it would take a good deal of time to get back into the lagging server.



For more info, there should be a better explanation or more extra details about this. Not too sure what the specific command is but if you type /help, you will find a list of lots of things that are helpfull to know, including a help log of what's happening for you.​

Well, mad30 tried moving me around the game map. Sure enough, when he moved me into a town maps loaded and when he moved me into routes they turned black.



Then I re-installed and everything worked perfectly. Mad30 said something about my game maps most likely being corrupted.
