Problem with Shiny pokemon

Hi!

I have battled a wild meowth with my Shiny meowth. Wild meowth was also shiny, but when I captured it and looked at PC that meowth was normal. When I was in battle the wild meowth was 2 lvls higher than mine.

Is this kind of a bug?

Can you please help me?

Its a pretty common bug, heard of it few times already. It happens when you battle wild pokemon same as yours. Pokemon looks like shiny but it isn't
