Power Belt

[glow=black]sooo lets say i buy a Power Belt and give it to a pokemon. Then kill Psyducks. Is my pokemon going to gain Sattk EV or 4 Defense EV.
Or do i need to kill Sandslashs and it will give me 4 Defense EV.
And what does halve the Speed mean? Cut your speed in half or something? [/glow]

Power Belt (like any belt) will add up to 4 X EVs to your pokemon regardless the pokemon you fought but doesn't ignore the native EV stats they give you.
For the speed thing, it works like handhelds, it cuts your speed stat by 1/2 like you said.

It will give you 1 SpAtk + 4 Def EVs.
