Hello PWO staff and fans I was playing PWO today and noticed some things about the prices of rare and non rare pokemon most people are trying to sell their pokemon more or less of their worth because they either dont know what it's worth or they just want to. I thought of a possible plan I was thinking It would be good if we had a price page on the wiki I dont know if it could be done I just think thats a very good Idea.

I think that would ruin the economy.... because the prices would never change.... and everyone would search for the ones worth the most then they would be worthless.... people just have to learn if noone buys it its because its not worth that much...

I'm agreeing with you that will ruin the economy and we don't actually know how will it affect the game.

The economy is also always changing for various reason, and with updates (new moves, fixes and battle systems) theres a possibility to drastically change prices (such as when shiny bonus was reduced). Because of that reason it's not worth setting fix prices, along with the ones said above.

There's no fixed prices on anything. Posting prices on the wiki will just confuse players and completely throw off the already broken economy.

You were able to catch dratini with surf board but now you need to catch it with old rod, I think dratini will get more expensive.

I don't really like the idea, stats have a lot to do with price of the poke

I wouldn't pay the same amount for an uber Slakoth as I would for a bad stat Slakoth <img src="http://www.pokemon-world-online.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/BulbasaurSilly.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt=":p" />

Yeah, stats would have to be taken into effect. So for each Pokemon, you'd need a price for both good and bad stats. Plus, demand can't really be taken into effect. Some people would be willing to pay more for a favorite pokemon and stuff like that

Yeah I agree honestly it would take too much programming to put in a base price for each pokemon, then add an amount to it dependent on its stats and level, then add a seperate price for it if its shiny. Then to add that to all the pokemon that are in PWO now. Its just not worth it. I like the way it is. Its not the best but its getting better then what its been in the past. Prices for pokemon are dropping and that's good. <img src="http://www.pokemon-world-online.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/PikachuExcited.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt=":D" />

even if it was implemented, it would make trading less fun :/ now what might be a good idea is to have a thread were players can post their pokemon and it's stats and other players can give ideas on how much it would go for o.o

Since it's based off a capitalist economy, prices are determined by consumer and producer, not the Government.

If PWO decided the prices, it'd be a communist economy (loosely).

Agreed.

Also, if players are gonna hunt for the pokemon that's worth the most, these pokemon will be all over the game, which would 1. make it very boring. 2. the price will eventually drop.

So yeah, prices change all the time pretty much~

As far as i know, the newest pokemon added ingame, are worth the most, until there's plenty of them caught and sold :3.

price is an opinion of the majority. some people value somethign more than others and with updates the prices will be wrong or need to be updated.

[/quote] Since Everyone is afraid of the economy, what about we try to put like an average price that fluctuates with the rise and fall of the demand for a particular pokemon.Maybe some kind of code that monitors the buying and selling of pokes and their prices. I find it difficult when I try to sell a poke that no one else is selling, because I have no idea what to sell it for. Don't want to sell it for too cheap but, if I set the price to high no one will buy it.

Have you considered taking offers on it? Send out a couple trade messages over a few days, see what offers come up. Wait till you find one you like. Also, it doesn't hurt to open up a Shop on the forums. Typically, you'll find someone on the forums that wants what you got, and has what you want

we could have a last sold price in game like if you searched a particular pokemon it could tell you what the one that was last bought sold for
