Actually. I didn't. I was simply wondering why an unfinished game was being distributed as if it was. Theres nothing on your site...at least anything noticeable...that states this game is still in beta. Instead you hope on, ask why the "blah blah blah" isnt working, then get a rude or sarcastic response from the players. Which is understandable considering how often it happens. However it will only scare off fans or potential members.



Im not complaining. IF anything I was complimenting you..and anyone else working on this game. I just didnt understand why your spending money on a server to run a game that isnt ready. From a marketing standpoint.. it doesnt make sense.



But now I realize this is a project created purely for fun. Not profit...soooooo you can save your snappy comebacks for someone who is actually trolling. the reason to run a server on beta is simple... more players test more stuff = more bugs fixed

wut cant keep hapenning is ppl on beta mode using bugs for their own advantage.



u said there is nothing saying its a BETA mode game... the client says it on the login screen

that wasnt "snappy" or "mean" or anything that is "mantis". my personality is a sarcastic, cynical one. even if you make a genius post that i completely agree with 100 percent or 0% i will most likely be that way, if not... then im probably not feeling my best

I'm assuming you've never heard of an Open BETA? It's a pretty standard part of development :/ Not only does it allow a lot more bugs to be found and fixed than pretty much any other way it allows people to play and enjoy a game they want to play. You also seem to assume this game is going to be run to make people money, which it isn't and never will, so there is no marketing standpoint.



Also, you can't say that theres a lack of people who want to play PWO <img src="http://www.pokemon-world-online.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/BulbasaurSilly.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt="" />

I believe someone higher up said 9k registrations from registration being opened to its closing again.... so yeah, just backing up a statement

I wasnt talking about the client though. I was talking about the site..but your still right. I actually didnt notice the Beta until you guys pointed it out. Im aware of what open beta is for. However most developers wont open their game up to the public until its mostly done. However I understand that this game is different since it depends on volunteer work.
