I like many players here at Pokemon World Online are older gamers grew up with the handheld games of gen 1 and gen 2. I like many other players have very fond memory from our childhoods of those games. This is what drawn us to PWO originally... to bring back a part of our youth that we long forgotten. I myself would not have thought twice about possibly playing this game if it was that of gen 4 graphics. While many would like to increase the look of the graphics, just as many prefer not to. Thous we leave the solution as: Do nothing and focus on other things.

I think everything is good atm in PWO but customizable characters for ingame would be cool. But its still in beta so i dont really expect that for a while.

Also i like that PWO uses the REAL regions not those stupid made up ones.

Eek. The first video looks like a rushed rom hack or something. If you're going to change the graphics, do it for improved aesthetics, not for the sake of making it look different than the original game.

And good gravy you're crazy if you think pwo will go 3d. Especially if you that that'll happen within a few years. Or at all. We're just a bunch of kids (at heart, anyways) with too much time on our hands, not paid professionals. Not to mention one of the best parts of pwo is the nostalgia factor.



But on the other hand, I really like the notion of pwo having it's take on the pokemon world. Not earth shattering changes, but subtle ones that give it more personality.



Buuuuuuuut that's after we get the playerdex working again, memberships up and running, a more stable server, fixed battle system, new features that would be cooler and more useful and a myriad of other things.

I'm honestly pleased with the graphics the game has now.

There might be a few glitches here and there, after all it's a beta.

But my favorite game versions were Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

I highly enjoy the layout of this game and I don't think it needs changing.

Especially since your ideas were taken from another online Pokemon mmo. >_>

PWO is great, the best fan made Pokemon game on the internet IMHO. It'll take A LOT to get anything to surpass it.

The graphics of PWO are fine. You must realize this would be a ton of work for the mappers to even attempt. Not to mention they would need a new map editor that supports more layers. (Although, they technically already need one with more than 3 layers, especially to start working on Hoenn.)



This makes me wonder though...what will happen when the idea of releasing Sinnoh and Unova comes around? Eh, thinking too far into the future again.

Why does Hoenn need 3 layers?
