More Ways To Get Tokens

Currently the only way to make donations to PWO and receive tokens is via paypal. But what if we had more options? I don't know if it's possible or not but since I haven't since much talk about that i though it was a good idea to bring the subject to discussion. Why not give members a way to get tokens via sms? Or other vias that are not only paypal? It could give more benefits to PWO so we could get a better server and develop more effectively the game. Buuuut, there's many kids out here that would abuse this option. Here in Holland, we use iDeal as paying option, it's véry safe, and gets right to your bankaccount (no other websites,like paypal). But yeah, to do that only for Holland would be kinda weird, right.

We are Buying carts from Shop and than theres a secret code under it than you writhe it in the phone and send it than Later you will have the money in your phone so you can talk or sent SMS! XD

I didn't saw a topic about this, but still its normal that the subject as been brought up before. I think it would be a great idea and would help a lot. As the kids you talked about well, there are many ways to see that. I see it as a parents responsibility so i don't think it would be a problem for PWO. <img src="http://www.pokemon-world-online.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/MisdreavusWink.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt="" />

We have been exploring other payment options outside of Paypal, however at the moment is not an immediate concern. Look at the current issues we are having the the db saving token donations. Unless changing over to something other than paypal fixed the issue with the db saving token data, It would only add more work onto the the already overloaded admin as it is, which simply wouldnt be cool...





But yeah, just to reiterate, we have been exploring other payment options, and sms has been brought up

ty leo, lets see what a staff member as to say about this. i believe they have thought of this too but for some reason there isn't an option like that on paying methods.

I know that staff has lots of issues right now mist, but still issues don't last forever and when they are less maybe this would be a way to increase the benefits budget so all PWO's members would have better gameplay conditions and help the game grow as well. era una idea que tambien venia en mi cabeza,seria muy factible que se pudiese cancelar atravez de via SMS ya que nose utilizar paypal, tengo cuenta como hace 3 años y aun no logro aprender a llevarla.... podrian trabajar en eso y a la vez se llevarian un gran publico que solo puede mediante sms.

One of the things I like about how they use PayPal is that you have to be old enough or have parent permission (hopefully) to use it.

If they were to use SMS or some way that just about anyone could use to donate, it could be bad from a parent's view.

I don't have kids but if I found out their phone bill got jacked up by donating to an online website I didn't know or understand, I'd be upset. D:



But I see where you are coming from.

Those that are able to donate don't always have a PayPal account or the availability to use PayPal.



I hope there's a good middle payment method that can be found/used soon.

I had this thought as well. But complications come when trying to have companies support a game thats not licensed.

yo soy un joven de 19 años, y soy de chile, ( america del sur ) y por estos lados paypal no es un metodo muy conocido, ya que acceder a un tarjeta de credito no es facil. por eso deberia ser pensado para todo publico, quizas por donde tu vives si es comun paypal, por estos lados no.

It would be incredibly easy, too. I use affiliate marketing sites and could give any admin a runthrough on that. Even as simple as putting a CPALead widget on the page. X many surveys for X tokens which has nothing to do with the copywritten material in question.

Yes, it could finally fix the market system by allowing everyone to get tokens, and PWO would still get money for it.
