Like it was just previously stated, you'll have to keep an eye on the site and forums to find out when registration will reopen again. When it does you'll have the chance to make a new account.
What I don't seem to understand is how you got yourself into the problem you seem to have. From what I gather, you're saying you chose to go to Johto, when in fact you would have preferred Kanto? It is made fairly clear during the beginners island that you choose either one of them. Most Pokemon fans and players are going to know the difference between the two regions. If someone knows that they want the original Kanto region as their choice, then that in itself means they know what it is. The same goes for someone who knows that they want to choose the Johto region. Knowing which one you want to go to has nothing to do with not knowing what the other one is.
Do you get what I'm saying? It makes it clear that you get to pick one of the two. Why would you decide to go to Johto, just to see what Johto is, if you already knew that you wanted to begin in Kanto?
