Because we decided we wanted to do 99. By your same logic, why not 101 instead of 100? Just because 100 is what it is in the handhelds, doesn't mean it's going to be it here. This game runs across multiple regions, far more than any single handheld game.
It was previously 97, we bumped it up 2 lv's. Next month we might bump it up another two levels. It gives people something to do that have already capped their pogeymanz
