Hypnosis bugged?

Hypnosis accuracy should be 60 right ? Then why the hell i pvp with this random guy using Gengar never miss his hypnosis 4 times straight to my pokes ?! Seriously ? Usually that move will missed after 1-2 times success but not this time. What happened here ? Any update i missed like Hypnosis accuracy changed or something ?

have seen gengars wiping a whole team with hypnosis though not sure if nerfing it should be fine nor not sure if its accuracy is as it should

It all comes down to luck. I'll give you a simple example based on handhelds: the first team I made on gen 6 revolved around making use status with me teaching mega gengar hypnosis and hex. And quite often I'd get hypnosis hitting more often than not (sometimes 4-5 times in a battle) so what you said isn't really that surprising, it just depends of luck.
