This is the preferred method for most people so you don't have to spend alot of money on a surf board. However you will need all badges to get onto the train to go to Johto/Kanto.

Keep that in mind <img src="http://www.pokemon-world-online.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ChikoritaSmile.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt=":)" />

How do I travel between regions?

The wiki says I need two passports, but it does not say where to get them: http://iblamelee.co....e=New_Bark_Town

Seems the person who made that edit was confused on the New Bark Town page. I'll clear it up. You don't need 2 passports, neither should anyone have 2. It's just a headache. To make use of the porter for Johto, you require a Kanto Passport (Kanto starters) however you can't have a Plain Badge.

Well i think the surf boards cost about 500,000 pokédollars so if you have that venture south to the shack not sure if you can thought with only four badges. Then sail from tohjo falls but i don't think you can at the minute sorry mate.

Surfboard costs 200k. Don't know if you can go across with 4 badges, since your only supposed to cross after you complete the Johto gyms.

It's really not difficult at all. And there is no point in even going to the other reigon until you have all 8 badges.

If you start in Kanto, the Johto gyms are significantly stronger and vice versa.
