General Beginner's Questions

Hey y'all,

When i evolved my charmander to charmeleon, it should've learned 'Dragon Rage', but it didn't.

I know there is a way to teach him the attack by buying it, but i can't find it in the Playerdex.



Furthermore, is there a way to avoid the negative EXP bug? Or do i ALWAYS need to grind the negative EXP away for my pokemon to continue gaining levels?

Would be nice to know if they're working on fixing it if there's no solution, because this is really really annoyingn.

You could get the extra experience before evolving, but it all works out ot the same amount at the end anyway

Negative exp is part of evolving, its not a bug. The base exp increases for the pokemon when it evolves, so the negative is the catchup to what it should have been at that level.



To teach moves on Playerdex, you have to go to My Pokemon and click the one that you want to change the moves of, there should then be a link called Edit Moves. Be aware that this costs 500 pokedollars times the level of you pokemon.

Another question i couldn't find an answer to:

Are there any TM's / HM's in this game? I've seen people surf on water, so there needs to be at least 1 HM in the game.

If no, would this mean you're bound to the attacks your pokemon learns by leveling up?

Correct, so you might want to look up a pokemon's moveset before adding it to your party.

The wiki will help with that.

Gastly's name is a pun on "gas", because that's all it effectively is. But many people fail to notice this and add the H anyway. I must admit that this is actually one of my pet peeves.



I've been considering adding a filter to the Forum to change Ghastly to Gastly, but I'm sure people would complain.

you get caracters like the old man you have to battle when you walk past , when you want to battle them again they say not enought time has passed to battle again .

it would take 14 days or 2 weeks for them to get reset and there levels will increase each time you defeat them.
