Forums: Bye Bye Ipb!

Hello there.



From this Thursday we will be switching over from the current IP. Board forum software to Simple Machines. Due to this changeover, the forums will be offline the majority of Thursday as well as the Playerdex. The forums and Playerdex will go offline Thursday from 11am (GMT). The game meanwhile should be online as usual during this time and any news will be available via Twitter.



If you're wondering about your accounts or posts, they won't be lost as we're aiming to convert them during this time. Due to the tracker system also running as a separate system on the current forums, anything posted in there will not be transferred. Any tracker issues that we consider valid will be moved over to the new forums manually. With regards to membership and token issues, i'm aiming to get the majority of those resolved by Friday.



We will also leave the IP. Board forum up and running when the new forum is online however it will be read-only access everywhere apart from the Tracker where you will only be able to reply.



Before that happens though, we want your opinion with regards to the colours below:

Which do you think best goes with black, vote in our poll above. This information will help guide us into ideas for a new forum theme.

Also, the poll says orange but the picture shows yellow.

To be honest, I think both red and purple go well with Black. Why not use a mixture of these three colours?

I can't see the advantages of changing to SMF...



I run a SMF forum and I wish I could have IPB, this forum right now is amazing, it goes amazing with the main site theme, has the right plugins, etc... I think changing it won't be the best choice...



Can I ask the real reasons why you are changing to SMF?
