DD QUEST help plz

I started the dd quest got a horsea scale and a dratini skin at the same time and went to edward he took dratini skin but nothing happen what do i do.............. Is there anyway of getting dratini skin back took ages to get plz help

If you get the dratini skin before he asks you to you're out of luck, he just takes it off you and asks you to get another when it's the right time. If he didn't the quest would bug and you'd get nowhere. So you have to get another dratini skin I'm afraid.
