Client window size / full screen

Hi there,

I would really like to start playing this game again after a long break, but the window size of the client is just too small to be able to enjoy the game! Have a look:

Not to mention that the login details are not aligned with the textboxes... (although that's not a big deal).
Also, if I try to start the game in full screen everything stays black, and I have to close it from task manager.

Is this really something that you can't solve? Or can I do something from my side to fix it?

Because PWO's current client was built with DirectX 9, which is an outdated version of DirectX that doesn't take into account modern graphics cards (and updating to a modern DirectX would make PWO incompatible with legacy Windows systems), PWO's Full Screen option doesn't function with some more recent graphics cards. There is nothing we can do about this; it's a hardware issue and we can't provide any support.

However, if you are finding that items don't line up correctly even in Windowed mode, this may suggest your DPI setting is too high. In which case, please refer to this article for solutions:

Ok, but wouldn't it be possible to set a different window size? You could have a config file that takes the size in pixels and the client should start in windowed mode with that size.

I don't necessarily want full screen, but right now the client is like one sixth of the screen.
