Example Two:
Violent69: Hey man whats up?, i caught a shiny today!
Player2: OMG
Player2: dude thats sick, gz!
Community Guide: Player2 has been Muted for 200 seconds
Community Guide: Don't use caps.
^ It's in my opinion that this shouldn't happen, UNLESS people have already been trying to push the staff's buttons.
And for those of you going "You aren't a CG you don't know what you're talking about!" I was a CG for a year until I moved to being a CR. (Only due to the fact I can't get ingame often.) So I know what it's like having to resort to mute people harshly in extreme situations. Context is needed. If there isn't any context, then that's definitely power abuse. (But, nothing could be done without pictures.)
If your second case is true and not over-exaggerating, I feel a simple "OMG" shouldn't warrant a mute for reasons Stank stated earlier:
all CGs except maybe the newest round of recruits have always had a 1-3 word exception to the caps rule. so if you were to say OMG duuude i totaly just caught my first SHINY!!! they wouldnt get mutes
However there is no definite policy for CGs on what is Caps and what isn't, so it's down to opinion.
But yeah, I feel like we're missing context here. Take pictures next time you feel a staff member is in the wrong.
AS for legends...
It's pretty much fair, in my opinion. We aren't supposed to trade or battle with them, so we can't gain anything from them. I mean sure, at first when I got one I was like "WOAH HECK YES ARTICUNO" but soon the novelty of it wore off as I couldn't do anything with it. (except battle other staff for lols =P )
So it really made no difference with or without the legendaries.
PS: The issues of what makes the game crash is stated everywhere. It might not be the nitty gritty detail of 'This specific line of coding went wrong' but you shouldn't be lacking information on that.
