Hello

As well as saying hello to Sevii today, you can now download our new client update - 1.98.3.4.

Whilst the number of changes seem small, we're sure over time you won't be saying the same for your boxes. So what does this update bring you?
  • The number of Boxes you can have has increased from 36 to 108 (that's 3246 Pokemon!)
  • We've introduced some new keyboard shortcuts ingame
    • CTRL + A will now select all text within the chat and PM boxes
    • CTRL + C will copy text from within the chat and PM boxes if highlighted
    • CTRL + V will replace the highlighted text with text from your clipboard
  • You can mention users by typing @(Username) in the chat box
    • The user will be notified of your chat message if they have channels closed or viewing another channel
  • Fixes related to map loading
    • Another attempt is made to load a map when the map loading functionality terminates early
    • Fixed issue where map failed to load when relogging
    • Relogging into another account should no longer show the previous map
With the arrival of Sevii, you'll also notice that our client has also had a sprite and music boost! :)

You can download our client on our main website.

From myself and the rest of the team, we hope you enjoy this update.
Blue ~

  • There is a new file, chat_text_highlighted_bg.png. This is within <path to PWO folder>\Skins\Default.
    • This graphic is used as the background for mention and highlighting all text
  • MapSongs.ini has been renamed Music.ini
    • This may affect players who use a custom MapSongs.ini file currently
  • Intro setting within Settings.ini has now been moved to Music.ini
    • This setting allowed players to choose a different intro music

Thank god. We've all been running short on space, so more boxes is great.

Now I need a command that releases all pokemon that have less than a 20 - 25 IV average.

Hello 1.98.3.4

The CTRL+A feature doesn't seem to work (tried with both AZERTY and QWERTY keyboards, thanks DH)
Also, issue for AZERTY keyboard users, A is for going left, so the proper key may be Q, but currently CTRL+Q (AZERTY) does a triangle symbol in chat
Currently CTRL+A on AZERTY make you go left (or does nothing if a textbox (chat or pm) is selected)

With this new client update, my pc now plays pwo with a different window frame (i believe it's the old one, not seen in some years). Is is there a way to set the window frame to the last one? It's more confortable for me because I can move the window on the top of the screen without having a gap on the top border of the window...

We really should document this option better… xD
I think I originally did include that line in a previous version of the installer, but I omitted it from the config file in the latest one, so it's no longer a default. I'm open to discussion whether to change this in future releases, if anyone wants to open a poll, thread, or post in the Suggestion Box about it. ;)

Following further investigation, the Staff have discovered I accidentally included an older version of Settings.ini in the “Default” skin included in the latest version of PWO, resulting in some default settings getting reverted. This will be corrected in the next client release. For now, you can either manually set the options back to how you would prefer yourself. Alternatively, you can copy the following config and save it as “Settings.ini” in /Skins/Default, replacing the Settings.ini already there:

INI:
// To Change Skin in game, simply use /Skin SKINNAME
// command while playing ingame.

//**********************************************************
// Important ***********************************************
// If you wish to use the default file for your skin.
// Then simply do not have that file in your skin folder.

// Edit these variables to further edit your skin to suit
// what you would like.

You can also use this file in your own skins by placing it as Settings.ini in your skin's root folder, if you'd like to keep similar settings.
Note: The above settings also include a patch by Lunatic to tone down the default “pink” colour in chat messages, as he finds it too bright.
