Having a separate username / login name is normally a security feature which helps prevent people you peeve off ingame from hacking into your account. Except a display name will not alter your username, so therefore if this was a reason for them to be added back, it would be incorrect.

I think you may have misunderstood his point Bluerise. The point was that people inside the game should not be able to see your username. If they don't know the username they will need to figure out both the username and the password linked to an in game name in order to hack the account displaying said in game name, i.e. better security.

I think you may have misunderstood his point Bluerise. The point was that people inside the game should not be able to see your username. anyone can view original username by going to profile and clicking on display name history.
