All moves on the wiki as per http://pwo-wiki.info/index.php/Complete_Moves_List should now have a page on the wiki.

Also if anyone comes across any pages that are particularly confusing or too verbose - note them here and I will try to simplify them.

And as always if you find something outdated note it here so it can be fixed, thanks.

As I noted in game (and I think this deserves its own post), all move pages via http://pwo-wiki.info/index.php/Complete_Moves_List should all have correct and updated info on them, as well as 5th gen pokemon listed and tables displaying damage ranges and formula (where applicable) listed on them.

This was a huge undertaking as most of them have not been updated since before the mass battle/move system update a few years ago, but all should be well and fine now.

Staryu does in fact spawn in cherrygrove city, via surfing. You can see this via /list.

As for the others -
Snorunt was only available during those christmas events, and we did not have the tier system back then. As such I can't accurately note what they would have been - so this cannot be changed.
The same goes for glalie.
Bagon has been changed.
The same of the above goes for spiritomb, we did not have the tier system when it spawned.
Venomoth has updated rarity already.
Removed Seadra from Dragons Den (it doesnt spawn there).
Crobat is updated already.
Smoochum is the same issue as snorunt etc.
Steelix has been updated.
Larvitar has been updated.
Duskull has the same issue as snorunt etc.
Carvanha has been updated.
Glacial Pass has the same issue as snorunt, etc. Old map, we did not use the tier system then.
Zigzagoon, Snover, Azurill, and Shuppet all have the same issue as Snover, etc.

Most of those issues have now been dealt with (aside from the NPC information. I wasn't confident in me accurately determining their Pokemon and levels), though I opted for certain areas to keep using the "ancient" rarity system, since it's still being used on those maps (back when they redid all the spawns, for some reasons unknown to myself, they just stopped and haven't gotten around to doing so yet, blah blah blah..)
Thanks for keeping an eye out on the wiki and especially for making a post like this; without players like you, it would take a while before someone would notice.

-Lack of egg moves information
-Server is potato
-Outdated info (rarities etc)
Updating the egg moves info would be...a giant undertaking. Every single pokemon page would have to be updated with a new table filled with moves - a new template (most likely) for showing parent information. I (personally) would prefer to wait for a new template to be made to support this to make it more...proper in showing egg moves (and even more preferably, an automated way of adding them). I myself don't have the technical know-how to do that so I'll leave it for someone else to do so if they know how.

I'm guessing the "Server is potato" comment is a joke. If not, please clarify.

As guros noted above (apparently) those maps still use the outdated rarity, so they have been left alone. If there's more outdated info - be specific! Generalizing it with an etc doesn't really help, specific pages need to be noted in order for them to be changed.

Lee made a change to the pokemon info template to allow for displays of EV yield and abilities listed. Some pokemon (up to vileplume at the time of this post) already reflect these changes.

If you see any pokemon that are missing this info - no worries. I and ABD are slowly going through them and adding the relevant info.

Right now - the page does not allow for anchoring to the listed ability inside it. Even though they will have it listed, and linked to the ability page, it won't take you straight to it for now (until a new template is made or anchors can be created).

As always if any of you find outdated/confusing info, note them here - and be specific about what needs changing (preferably with the offending page linked). Simply stating "wiki outdated" or something to that effect doesnt help - we need specific pages to change.

Edit: Pokemon #1-151 should all have ability and EV data added, with some additional edits in some places for updated information, clarification, and consistency

EDIT: This message is in the wrong place. nvm

This wiki is annoying. When I try to backspace to change something, it takes away the space between my words, andmakesmewritelikethisandIhatethat. Then when I double space to keep my sentences further apart to make it easier to read, the forum goes "NOPE" and deletes all my extra spaces between sentences.

Have you tried updating your web browser? Never heard of anyone else with this issue.

My web browser is up to date. Maybe I am the only one paying attention to this?

What were you doing on the wiki for something like that to occur?

I’d just like to wipe the dust off this thread and share an A-OK update on the Wiki: what’s going on, how are things progressing, what to expect in the upcoming months, and my personal aspirations for the future.

First things first, here is a small laundry list of improvements since I began my editorial adventure in September:
  • All Gen 1 Pokémon (and their respective evolutions in other Generations) have all been updated. Descriptions, EVs, Abilities, Locations, Tiers, Movesets, TMs, and MTs (including those from events) should all be accurate to what is found in-game.
  • Addition of Experience Types which accurately depict the amount of experience required from Pokémon in particular experience groups. The outdated level charts have also been removed from Gen 1.
  • Wiki pages for official events since 2021 (Minusoft, Grimewood Forest, and NorthBell)
  • Wiki pages for quests (Wind Surfboard Quest and Elite 4 Quest)
  • For my fellow Wiki contributors, an updated version of the Event Tutor templates and the addition of RawDataList/MT which has made adding MTs easier than ever. Though I may need to create copy one for the permanent Tutors.
  • Any small adjustments made when I browse the Wiki for my own personal use.

Currently, I am looking to go through each Gen 2 Pokémon with a fine-tooth comb and updating it such that I never have to look back at it again - or at least until a new map of spawns or permanent tutors is introduced (I'm looking at you Sevii :S). The same process will be done for every single individual Pokémon page. That being said, it will certainly take a fair bit of time, especially with many of our prominent Wiki contributors being absent at the moment. Nevertheless, I have high hopes for the Wiki and have been making a concerted effort to "make the Wiki great for once." As is, I plan to spearhead any project to improve the reliability and relevancy of the Wiki such that trainers do not have to explain the same few common things ad nauseam; well, at least not without a referential Wiki page at the ready.

I believe the one main thing that's not within my expertise to pursue is a template that somehow embodies the endless list of egg moves and potential parent Pokémon similar to what serebii or Bulbapedia has. The thought of even implementing that aspect is daunting and I believe is an unnecessary burden for a few Wiki lads to handle. I apologize if you had hoped for such a feature but that's just not in the cards for the Wiki from my point of view.

That said, I believe there are many more important aspects and pages that need to be addressed before undertaking that large behemoth of a project. For instance, all the map locations, routes, and little nooks and crannies are in major need of a Wiki makeover. Poorly formatted pages with inaccurate NPCs, unadjusted level ranges, and large white spaces all over the place take first priority. This will be done by convenience when I'm not just blitzing through the whole Pokédex.

Now that goes without saying, feel free to lend your suggested Wiki pages to create or update - maybe some popular ones that many trainers frequent so we maximize its relevancy and impact. I'm always open to hearing from the community to which the Wiki is meant to serve but please understand that we do this voluntarily and on our own time. Alright, that wraps up my little soliloquy, take care.

AK~

I love and respect your dedication O7
Cant make much effective suggestions tbh. The first thin I can think of is having certain things in spanish/BR portugese to make it more usefull for especially Brazilian playyers, who are plenty, and possibly other people with native languages as Spanish and Portuguese. Saying that, i dont have any skils to that.
