Tired of restarting, hesitating to try a new MMO instead of a 4th account on PWO.

I've been playing PWO for 10 years or even more I don't remember I'm getting old now, each time I wanted to return to play a pokémon game I came back to PWO, each time to see they deleted my account, my brain told me they delete because I haven't played it for some/many months as that was the only logical explanation which isn't really nice, as people grind 1000s of hours in the game and build up relationships with people ingame, it's kind of disgusting. I had 3 accounts before, one name I'm not sure of, but 2 others I am because I still have the e-mails send by you or your system saved in my old hotmail, usernames are ArKaiNe69 and Gainward, these 2 I still have the e-mails from and also one (ArKaiNe69) that has the password inside the mail (title mail: New Password for your PWO account). E-mail of both accounts is nordaai@hotmail.com

My question is, is this issue known? Are these developers that delete people's progress? Sounds so 1990's. If yes I'll try a new pokemon MMO out if I need to start from scratch anyhow.

Until 2014-2015, accounts with 2 years of inactivity were deleted (it's not the case anymore)

I can't find any records of accounts with those usernames or that email address.

If the last time you played PWO was 10 years ago or more, then it is possible the accounts were deleted. At one time, PWO did begin deleting accounts which did not register a single minute of playtime in over two years. This practice was discontinued in 2014 - since this date, accounts are never deleted, regardless of inactivity or any other reason. However, we cannot restore accounts deleted under the prior policy.

That's the answer I was looking for! Yeah, I played probably all of the Poké MMO games since 2007 or so, it might've been that long indeed. I will give it another shot (atm only did it to post on forum and check /online users command). I get a fast reply here on forums which I didn't expect as I only see 16 players online, how come? Does it show the number wrong? Thanks for the reply.

Last mails I've received was in 2010 by @playerdex.com address and 2012 by @pokemonworldonline.net address and then it suddenly stopped.

I will give it another shot. :)

PWO's playerbase is not as large as it once was, owing to various historical reasons. Nevertheless, it still has an active and loyal community that continues to play the game and socialise through Discord and, to a lesser extent, our Forum. The PWO Staff also remain active and dedicated to developing and improving the game, with some major content updates planned over the course of this year.

Thank you for your reply and fast help! I will play now and then to see if I still like it to start with, as I'm older now you never know. Will join the beautiful community on discord, thank you!

The player list doesn't show anyone who is playing anonymously (/ano command). But that's usually only a handful of people. During the recent Christmas and Halloween events the game was averaging about 50 players +/- 10.
