...that's nothing new. That image is for the Auction House feature that once existed in-game, but was removed due to various glitches. Auctions sometimes not ending past their deadline, or items not being delivered correctly, among other things. The plan at the moment is NOT to re-implement the feature in-game; however an equivalent, more stable version is in the works for the Playerdex.

Why does ppkémon lose their value? According to what I heard about the past, players were able to set a starting bid or at least a price (I'm not sure). Through this way will be easier to sell them and we won't need to flood the trade chat.

It was honestly a easier way for players who can't be on all day too sell and make profits because you could log in, put a bunch in auction and then log off for the rest of the day. While the feature does interest me and I may use it but then again I am online always so there wouldn't really be to much of a need for me. i would just prefer to use trade.
