Hello,
My name is Garem, and I'm am somewhat new to PWO. I played some years ago under a different name, but left due to work and other unrelated issues. I recognize a few of the "old timer" names. However, I was never one for attention grabbing. I was just one of the people that never really spoke and enjoyed my time playing.
A little about myself.
When I was about five years old, "Santa" got my family a Nintendo Entertainment System. This started me down the path of geek forevermore. Starting with my first geek acomplishment, beating The Legened of Zelda's first and second quest before I was even able to read.
I became a professional beta tester for local company when I was 16. I worked for the company for seven years. Three months after I turned 18, thanks to kind words from my boss, I got a second job and became employed by SoE to be one of several Game Masters for their game, EverQuest. I left SoE after two years, due to a promotion with my first job beta testing.
I later left the company to find what I wanted to do with my life. I enrolled in college and did my GenEd courses, still unsure of what to make my major.
I experienced an unfortunate accident that threw my life into chaos for several years. I continued to stay close to the video game world during my chaotic years, volunteering as advisory service, Game Master, or Community Guide for several different games over the years.
I am only just recovering(well for about a year now) and back in school. I am currently after a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with concentrations in database administration and networking and telecommunications.
I enjoy passing free time playing video games and my tastes vary(Left 4 Dead, Magicka, Neverwinter Nights 2, Killing Floor, PWO, Rift, Firefall, etc). I have always enjoyed the Pokemon games(first and second generation). When I stumbled on PWO again, I began watching it's progress. Unfortunately registration was closed around the same time, so I began to wait for it to reopen.
I currently work as an IT Assistant at a large multi-office law firm.
I do not predict to much of a presence on the forum. I generally dislike random chit-chat and only speak when the subject is not useless, I have something useful to say, or I am directly addressed.
