Ohai there, people. I think this is the first time I introduce myself to the community using a topic like this. I haven't really made one on the old forums; I'm not really into these things. So yeah, this is probably the first and the last time you'll ever see something like this from me. I'm not actually new here, but since I've changed my account and also my nickname, I decided that it would be nice to type down something here.
I'm RareÅŸ - this is my real name. I've got no problems in sharing it with the world. Oh, just to clarify something: I know that my name coincides with the plural form the English word "rare", which is pretty bad, since everyone here believes that I actually meant "rares". Actually, if you look closer, you'll notice that they are written differently. My name has a "Åž" instead of "s", 'cause this is how we write it in Romania. I can't use that letter here, you know. Oh, and about the pronunciation: that "ÅŸ" is pronounced like "shhhh!", but only shorter, like "sh!". Lol, it is pretty hard to explain, but I just want to point this out so people don't take it as something else. However, if you want, you can call me "Ray", since it's kind of like the same thing, but much more simple, I guess. Enough with my real name. Now, if you can't remember me, let me tell you something. On the old forum, my forum name was "Mr. JuBie". People used to call me "Jubie", lol, and I was (I am) pretty much happy with this. I'm not even a "mister", and you'll figure out why later on. Unfortunately, after the forums have been destroyed and recovered, I had to start using this account, "Rares97". Now I have the same name in game, but also here. So, for those who didn't remember me: "Hey, there. Now I'm Rares97 here!" For those who don't actually know me: "Hey there! I'm Rares97, and you can call me Rares/Ray or Jubie!". Considering that now I have to use this account, you can now call me both "Rares/Ray" (whichever you preffer), but also Jubie. *Jubie is not related to anything! Stop asking me and stop givin your wrong opinions about this, k thx*
Enough with the names. I'll move on to another personal stuff. I live in Romania, a medium-sized country in the middle of Europe. It's a pretty nice country with an awesome landscape, culture and history. However, we pretty much suck at building roads, highways and stuff like that. Please, if you'll ever come here, prepare your car. We also have other issues, other big issues, but oh well. If you know Dracula , the vampire, you must also know Romania, because he's from here. (Well, the legend is from here). My country is not so well developed, but I think this is a nice thing, on the other hand. We still have those vintage villages, the nature is still untouched in some places, the tradition from hundreds of years ago still exists. Our capital is Bucharest. Let's move on. In Romania I live in Brasov. The city is situated in the center of the country, (And if Romania's approximately in the center of Europe, this means the city where I live is the center too, and the center of the city is the actual center of Europe, lol), in the Carpathian Mountains. It's a pretty big city, but it doesn't really matter. It's a historic city, full of history, culture and monuments. We also have a cable car which goes straight to the highest point of the mountain near us, called "Tâmpa". It's a really nice city to visit. (Oh and I'm really happy about the fact that we still have trolleybuses! ^^ Do you know what are those things? No!? >.< Then Google it, lol) Oh well, I think I have to talk about me, right?
In Romania our native language is Romanian, lol. However, we also talk English, some of us, at least. So yeah, if I write something stupid or I don't really get something from the first try, please make an effort and understand me and my current situation. I am still learning English and I'm doing my best to talk it and write it correctly. Hmm... Probably you all know this but there might still be people who don't know this: I am 14 years old. Yeah, I guess I'm kind of young here. Guess I'm also the youngest member of the staff, but what can I say? I love mapping and this is it. Erm, I'm not one of those stupid childs who only knows how to scream and make a big deal out of anything. I'm also trying to be as mature (Or at least act mature) as I can, in order to fit the position I have. Don't expect me to be like that all the time, ok? I least I'm trying, lol. This is why I put that "Mr." in front of my name. Also, now you know why you don't have to call me with "mister". Do I have to mention that I'm a boy?... I guess not and I hope you figured that out before I said this. Moving on... Right now I'm in the 8th grade. In our country, the 9th grade means High School - I can't wait for that to happen. I guess you don't know how I look, right? I won't upload a picture anywhere here, I simply don't want to be seen by the others. However, I guess I could try and describe myself a bit. I'm kind of tall, I think. My height is 1 meter and 84 centimeters. That's about 6.03 feet high. Erm... Guess I'm ok in rest, I'm not fat but also not thin - somewhere at the middle. I have hazel eyes (brown eyes), dark hair (or at least around that color). I think it's enough~
I love reading, I read much. I have some favorite foreign writers, from America and UK. Doesn't really matter who they are. I also like writing (I usually write in Romanian, since my English is not that good and I still need to improve my vocabulary). I also love listening to music. I usually listen to rock, but I also like pop (just one crazy artist. She... I guess you figured out who that is). I love UK. I love that country but I don’t really know why: I just love it. They are so lucky that they have rainy weather in general. I want that naoo~ I also love Japan, mainly because they have a nice history and also a nice culture. This is also because they have anime. By the way, I watch anime. My favorites are: Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist, Pokemon <--lol but also many other animes. Oh, here’s an important thing. I love Autumn. I love it because it represents me and my personality, soul, way of thinking etc. If you know Autumn, you know me. I’m usually a pessimistic person, I don’t hope to much and I don’t smile a lot. I’m not that happy and I don’t really enjoy things. However, I try to act differently here. I don’t wanna seem mad all the time or I don’t know what other negative things. I’m usually kind and nice here, as long as the community doesn’t ask “Y sere up!??†“GM HALP Y I STUCK†or things like that. I also hate when people call me a GM or – even if I have that big [MAP] thingy in front of my name - they keep on asking me what’s that or again, if I’m a GM.
I love eating, watching movies. I eat a lot and I eat almost anything. I could eat 10 trucks of Mc Donalds or something, I’ll still be at my normal weight, believe me, lol. I hate doing homework or summaries, I hate sunny weather, I love mapping, of course. I love ghosts. I so love them…
These are just a few things about me. If you want to know more about me, please ask, eventually.
Now, let’s talk about PWO, a bit. I have been playing this game since the end of 2008, the beginning of 2009. I can’t really remember the month or something and I don’t really need to. From what I know, my first username was “Rares97â€. I can’t remember any older one. Oh, and I really can’t remember how I discovered PWO. Maybe it was like this: I was playing with my old friend Alex Pokemon Crater, I think. Don’t really know how, but we decided to look for another Pokemon game, and we found PWO. We then registered (his in game name is “bengulita†or something, I can’t really remember). He doesn’t play PWO anymore. However, I continued playing and playing, until the summer of 2010. I stopped playing then for three months because I spent all my summer holiday in Chicago, Illinois. I lived in a town, or whatever that was called Arlington Heights, at my uncle. Awesome place Chicago is, lol. Very different from my country, at least.
I then started playing again, and look, here I am now. However, on the 25th of March 2010 - if I can remember correctly – I opened my mapping showcase. I always loved mapping. Before I discovered the Mapping Editor, I used to open the tiles with Paint and then copy whatever I needed, and the paste it in another map and build the actual map. I don’t think I have pictures of that anymore, lol. Then I found our map editor and so I started mapping and mapping. I used to add a new map every week or so. I kept adding maps until the 16th of June, 2011. To be honest, I always wanted to be a part of the mapping team on PWO, ‘cause I knew I had the skills needed and also the talent for this. So yeah… I kept mapping and mapping and mapping… for a year and almost a half, hoping that one day some member of the PWO’s staff would eventually notice me and yeah…
Can’t describe in words how happy I was when Arenya sent me that Private Message asking me whether I wanna be a part of the mapping team or not. I remember exactly… On that day the school ended for me: it was the first day of holiday. Lol, as I said, I was very, very happy. I started jumping around the house shouting things like “Yessss, yessss, finalllyyyy I can help PWO with mappppiinggggg. I’m the happiest person aliveeeee! God I love you!†<--- What do you except from a 14 year old one? This is how I got into the staff thingy.
Right now I’m mapping. This is how I help Pokemon World Online. I’m proud of it. Every single day I open my eyes thinking how PWO has changed my life. This community, these awesome people (besides those unsupportable ones <img src="http://www.pokemon-world-online.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ScytherSuspicious.png" class="bbc_emoticon" alt="<_<" />), this awesome staff! Yeah, thank you for giving me this chance.
So, was it enough about me? Please, if you have any other questions, ask them!
By the way, sorry for the short spam post~
