Current privacy settings help aliasers / alt accounts hide their deception. There is zero reason to hide Name History.
Profile privacy option should only hide custom profile content, not the entire Profile page.
If Profile is set to "You only".....

......This page should still be visible! Minus personal info (profile text, status updates, embedded video, trainer card).

Suggested new "Profile" view with everything set to "You Only" (maximum privacy):

Instead of the infuriating "You don't have permission" screen (unless you are not logged in).

Benefits:
Objections?

Suggested new "Profile" view with everything set to "You Only" (maximum privacy):

Instead of the infuriating "You don't have permission" screen (unless you are not logged in).

Benefits:
- Players' Name History will no longer be hidden from other registered players.
- Game Time will now always be visible (harder to hide alts) to registered players.
- Restores access to useful buttons "Mart", "Add As Friend", "Ignore", "Report" etc.
- False sense of security: some players might not be aware that even if their Profile is hidden, their Pokemon, Items, or Friends list may be viewed by adding &Pkmn, &Item, or &Friend to the URL, if their account settings allow. @desya @Snobbe
Objections?
- People embarrassed about having high / low Game Time? You can't hide from the in-game /info command.
- You can already add &Names to the URL so it's not necessary? But I've played for over 10 years and just figured this out now.
