not this again...i got scammed like that when i was noob (league_champ) luckily i was able to pull through i just hope others who get scammed like this keep their head up,and also to everyone else take proper precautions (ss of id's,etc..)and like lee said just be smart about what you do

I'm looking into our older Announcements following player feedback. I'm keeping this up as while I don't believe fake Playerdexes to be an issue nowadays, it could happen again; and the security tips listed still apply today. However, I have corrected all links to the current, up-to-date URLs; and added a note about HTTPS.

On another note, PWO switched from IRC to Discord over a year ago. The new chat platform includes clear labels for different Staff ranks, so it should now be much easier to identify us if you need help
