Missing Pokémon

Hello.
I receently returned to start playing again, but as I log in and look in my boxes at the pokemon center - ALL my pokemons are missing, the event pokemons, the high stat pokemons, etc.

For some reason I only have 13 pokemons left, 6 on my character and then there's only 7 left in the pokemon box - the rest is missing? :(

I played more than 70 hours, have 12 Gym badges - but almost all my pokemons are gone?

Edit: I also made a bug report.

-Did anyone else experience this?

Hi there,

We've never had a proven, demonstrated incident of Pokémon going entirely missing from anyone's account. Usually, when we do get reports of a Pokémon missing from an account that we can confirm actually existed, further investigation usually reveals the Pokémon to have been released or traded away.

I've taken a look at your account, and it appears you have an additional 11 Pokémon that are marked as "Released". You can see these on the Playerdex by logging in, going to your "My Pokémon" page, and switching the box to "Released", which appears near the end of the list of boxes. There, you can also claim back any Pokémon you would like back.

Aye I see the pokemon in the released box too - but that makes no sense?
-I have caught and released 100's of pokemons and used good amounts of pokeballs catching good stat versions of pokemons?

I remember doing the Halloween event among other events, where I caught many pumpkaboo's for example and some of them was slightly varying in size on the sprite (Or I remember it as being pumpkaboo, might've been another one)?

-The only thing I remember trading away was my Physical Gyradose another player who joined the game shortly before I took a break from PWO? (Well honestly I don't really remember trading it away because there was some restriction for new accounts so he couldn't accept it -So I Just ended up showing them, but.... Now I'm not sure of anything anymore... Except I didn't give all my stuff away, that much I'm sure.)

So something doesn't add up.

Speaking of events...

ALL my event pokemons are missing, every single one of them?

And I would never release my Marrowack, he's my "get pokemons to 1 HP before catching them" pokemon.

OH NO!
Does that mean the items they were carrying is also gone?

So I can confirm to you, either there's missing pokemons or I have been hacked and they traded away all my pokemons.

Well...

This is a very sad way to find out :(

Also, looking at the "remaining" pokemons on my account shows they have no "recorded capture date" - so something is definetly off.

Holy moly, besides my badges and the the 5 pokemons left in high level - My account is litterally ruined :(

Most of my items are missing too :(

Sorry for all the posts and edits, every post is like a another realization that something new is missing or wrong.

I hope you guys are able to help me restore everything :(

Pretty much everything is missing.

My Growlithe has also been released, that I was training up before evolving?

I'd never release that either?

You sure you aren't thinking of a different Pokemon game? I don't think Pumpkaboo has been a catchable Pokemon yet (though I could certainly be wrong) also the fact you have only played 70 hours and only have 12 badges (which means you haven't even beaten all the gyms yet) makes it seem unlikely you have had as many Pokemon as you claim, and leaves me to believe you may have your games confused. Just a thought though, regardless, if this is indeed the proper game, I hope you can get your situation figured out.

I can confirm we've never made Pumpkaboo available in PWO, at least as of the time of me posting this.

It also appears we have no data for you ever owning any Pokémon besides those that I already identified above. In fact, these are the only Pokémon in our database that have you marked as the original trainer – OT IDs have been recorded by PWO since the very beginning and mark the account that originally caught a Pokémon, no matter what is done with it afterwards. From my investigation, however, there are no other Pokémon – on any account – that match you as their original owner besides those you already have (or have released).

I'd actually have to agree with Jobey at this point. Are you sure you're not thinking of a different game you may have played?

Like I said, it might've been a different pokemon than pumpkaboo (That's just how I remember it, like I mentioned in the post. It is am almost 15 years old account, so excuse me if I get a few details wrong) - In all fairness I also play other pokemon games and could've mixed a few memories.

-I use almost the same setup in all my pokemon games, which Is why I'm pretty sure I wouldn't release my cubone/marrowak among other things.

But you'll have to admit there's something off, 70+ hours account and 2 of my best pokemons set to released (and only 24 caught pokemon, all in all?) - after a hiatus? The low amount of badges compared to time show exactly that the time spent has been not focusing on "speeding" through the gyms, but on other things (Like capturing/trainig/exploring for items)?

Anyway..

Too bad if the system/logs don't show anything, but somethings weird, not quite the return I imagined :/

My cheap two cents - could you be thinking of a pokemon game called PRO which is a very similar acronym to PWO?

Welcome back - good to see old players returning.
It's normal for Caught Date to be missing for very old pokemon. Probably anything caught before ~2012 will be missing the caught date. On the plus side if you have any shinies from back then they could be quite valuable now as the minimum shiny IVs used to be higher.

+1 for remembering different game. Maybe check your other Pokemon games to see if they have the missing pokemon.

Thank you everyone for the input and to Jinji for looking into it.
-Aye some memories are indeed be mixed up. I have been checking around the other pokemon games I play(ed), the Physical Gyradose was a memory from another title so it's not impossible at all that there's more I misremember.

There are still some things that don't make sense to me - but instead of dwelling on it, I'll do like Jinji recommended and salvage what I can from the released pokemons by transferring them back to my box and call it a day.

Thank you again everyone for shedding some clarity on it for me and the welcomes back.

PWO was a different game in 2013:
- False Swipe didn't work
- Held items weren't a thing
- leveling up Pokemon was almost impossible back then
- Progression was easily halted with things like having to obtain a surfboard and those 24 hour gym reset time

The only thing that doesn't add up is that it took you more than a year and a half to amass 70 gameplay hours.

Playing over time isn't that odd, considering I still had a handheld and also played other titltes at the same time. As well as ongoing education at the time.

This information is very helpful though Isguros, because that really points out why things look they do - and explain some decisions.
-If I expected false swipe to work, but it didn't. That could've very well been why I decided to replace the marrowak.
-If held items weren't a thing, that explains why It seems like a whole range of items feels like they're missing.
-Extremely Slow leveling rates, makes sense why pokemons catches seems missing too - however, 24 all in all caught pokemons seems odd still.
-I do have the surfboard - but the gym part, makes sense to why I have so few Gym badges.

Thanks for all the information! The only thing that remains odd to me is the low catch-count overall.
