Missing exit to Ruins of Alph from Union Cave?

So I'm in Union Cave because apparently that's the only way to get to the part of the Ruin's of Alph where you can catch pokemon in tall grass. But there's a problem.
This picture is directly from the wiki of B2 of Union Cave. I don't know where that bottom left corner exit leads, all I know is that I am currently in-game in that exact spot and it isn't there, so, what's going on?

Ok, I take it back, I found the ruins, but that exit is still missing for me.

The exit to the part of the Ruins of Alph you're looking for is accessible via floor B1F of the Union Cave (as can be seen on the map image in the spoiler below). I don't know what the missing ladder on B2F is supposed to be for. I've never seen it on the map itself either, and I don't believe there used to be anything below B2F. Perhaps that ladder is a remnant of an old event that took place at the time that picture was taken.
