Ferrothorn
may be one of the most important pokemons every released in the game!

Here are some informations:

With a unique ability Iron Barbs : opponents using moves that makes contact w/ the user loses 1/8 of their max HP;
*Thanks @DH94 for testing if the ability is workin at BT custom battles

The item Rocky Helmet stacks with the Iron Barbs ability;

Steel-types are resistant to many things, and at Gen V they're also resistant to Ghost and Dark-moves;

Can set residual damage to opponents with Leech Seed / Toxic or entry hazards such as Spikes / Stealth Rock;

Knock-Off is not ideal in Gen V due to low dmg(20) and no aditional damage, but for bulky Ferrothorn it is good for utility;

Bulky annoying pokémon for your opponent, check out this defensive stats:

Low speed even helps with STAB move Gyro Ball that increases dmg based on the difference between yours and opponent's speed.

Move Curse also helps increases ATK and DEF while lowering speed is actually good for Gyro Ball damage;

For those hoping for a more offensive approach, HP+ATK work wonders w/ STAB grass-move Power Whip and you can put Explosion;

Rain Teammates can also helps reduce Fire dmg due to Ferrothorn's 4x Weakness;

Catch-rate of Ferroseed is 255, same as a regular Caterpie, and only knows Hidden Power for now;

See? Everything matches with this pokémon, big N have their favorites after all.

If they place houndour T1 or T2, its commercial price will be ridiculous, I think it would be a mistake since it was never an impediment for others to have one.

Commercial price would never be the mainly question to a free game. But if this Pokémon would never come to a swarm/event I would agree to your opnion. Since we had them as a t1 in an event, I think the staff should consider that.

We did get a shiny Hound last summer at hunting event tho :rolleyes:
Yeah, and it was T1 in Halloween event a couple years ago.

There's several hundred shiny Hounds out there.

Don't see an issue at all with lowering its tier during the swarm - the value is already very low, so all you'd really be doing is just providing newer players a chance to catch their own. Hound is already on the map so it makes sense too.

That’s exactly the point, Cleave! Even though the price is already low, not all new players can afford to buy one. During the event, it might be their chance to get their own.
I totally agree with what you said and I am in favor of @diegobonan request

is it possible to put houdour as t2 or t3 in this swarm? Please take into consideration. i'm a new user (two years) and never had a swarm of this pokemon.
Great idea.
He's already been T1 in other events, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be T2/T3 in this one.
In general I don't understand why he's T5, he should always be =-T3 in my opinion.

I think you mean " tribulus terrestris"
Bulbapedia said:

Origin

Ferroseed is based on certain plants whose seeds stick to clothing,[1] such as cockleburs, burdocks, or cleavers. It may also be based on durians, conkers (seeds from horse-chestnut trees), or datura fruits, all of which are known for their tough skin and thorns. It may also be based on a mace or flail.

Name origin

Ferroseed may be a combination of ferrous (containing iron) and seed.

Tesseed may be a combination of 鉄 tetsu (iron) and seed.
I can't say I've ever heard of Tribulus Terrestris before, but it would appear either or both of you could be right here.
