It may look; and be intended to function similarly to the existing PWO client; but already I see little touches which are much nicer in my view. Which may seem petty, but even the smallest details make a difference to me. Of course, personally the thing I really want changed is the wrong version number on the client's Welcome Message; and perhaps even future clients to have a more clear indication of their ACTUAL version number - but I digress.

Thanks for sharing, Hardc... wait, what did that say?

Hardcoreh! I expect, with much irritation, such descriptions from our female members of Staff; but I'm shocked a man of your intelligence and wisdom would himself also propagate such a lie. Do I have to start spreading nightmares to the entirety of our Staff, just to keep you all in line? I still maintain my vow never to physically attack humans; but I make no promises for attacks on a person's mental state...

He is kindof cute isnt he?
Just saying I bet hugging a Gengar is like hugging a cloud.
As far as the client goes, it looks good. I Love that there is progress and proof that you havnt been too distracted. You are PWOs knight in white. Off getting the Princess for the kingdom.

Tested the client on an old PC I still had lying around and am quite pleased with the results.
PC specifications:
CPU: AMD Sempron 2800+ (1.6GHz)
RAM: 512MB DDR
Graphics card: Geforce 6200 (256MB DDR2 AGP)

Gives about 180-240 FPS on this old radiator.

Furthermore, this has been added:
- Loading screen (with progress bar)
- Welcome screen (with pokeball sprites and info)

Giving use to old, outdated things once again - I like that. Cool work, Hardcoreh :)

I was just wondering Hardcoreh. It doesn't really matter, but since we have the ability - could the money amount in the top bar for your client use a different symbol than $ for the currency? Since that's never actually been used in a Pokémon game, despite some suggestion that "Dollars" is the correct term. I was thinking the Peso symbol () is quite similar to the symbol used in non-Japanese Pokémon games if you don't want to go to the effort of adding the actual graphic; or we could homage the Japanese origin of Pokémon and use Yen instead (円, or the western equivalent ¥). I don't mind if you consider this pointless or unnecessary, I just felt compelled to suggest it.

Am I right that the new client is more efficient then than the current one? It is relatively slow on my netbook, but it sounds like the new one would run perfectly. Awesome job Hard, as always ;)

Can't say this for sure since every system is different. Onboard graphics tend to be slow so it's always good to have a decent graphics card for your gaming needs.

Any possibility when you release new client (2.0), that client will support: 8 ways walking, surfing, riding; Abilities; Natures; Pokemon name change; Happiness; Multi-evolutions; Hold items trade evolutions; multi layers for maps and etc?
